Young Adults

Second Sundays -- 6-8 pm -- Dinner, Devotion, Fellowship

Next gathering Sept 14th @ our normal spot, Pastor Nate's house.
Get on the text thread to be sent updates and invites.

Being a young person (in your 20s or 30s) in this world can be very difficult, and often we have a hard time knowing which voice to listen to.

At St. Peter's, Young Adults find fellowship with each other as we seek to examine pressing questions in the light of the Word of God. When things are confusing, why not go to the source of all truth and find solace in Jesus Christ.

Sign up HERE to get the offsite location texted to you each month.

College Adoptions

To our members who are leaving the nest and heading off to college, sometimes close by and sometimes not, we want to invite you to be adopted! Stay connected to your church with notes of encouragement before finals or even a little something for your birthday. Use the button below to register today!

Adoption Registration

Young Adult activities are popping up all over the LCMS world and we want you to enjoy fellowship in those as well.  All opportunities we're told about outside of St. Peter's will be listed in the Resources & Links page.

Library at Home with Peg Heinze: The Vanishing American Outhouse

Don’t close the lid on this one. It’s actually a pretty interesting tale. The outhouse was once an appendage to every home. City dwellers often associate outhouses with the hillbilly era of the feuding Hatfields and McCoys. However, there’s more to this story.

Peg Heinze has been serving seniors through the Allen County Public Library for over 45 years. She started as a bookmobile driver and when the bookmobiles were phased out, she began the outreach services which were rebranded in 2021 as Library at Home. Library at Home takes materials to nursing homes, senior apartments and to individual homes. As an outreach specialist, Peg enjoys hearing stories from patrons’ lives and telling a few of her own. In 2022, she received the John Philip Excellence in Outreach Award from the National Association of Bookmobile and Outreach Services.

Sisters in Christ

Wednesday, Sept 24th @ 5:00 pm

Location: Kekionga Craft Co.

Come enjoy a little fellowship and dinner out every last Wednesday of the month.

It's a (fairly) new, low-commitment & easilly accessible group designed to create opportunities for us as women to gather and have some fun!  So far we've toured DeBrands, had dinner at Kekionga, game night in our lower level, painted pumpkins in the Cornerstone Room, sampled the artisan pizza & milkshakes at Kuehnert Dairy Farm, and walked a few laps around the Tin Caps field with their Christmas lights!  Each unique event has been coordinated by a different member of St. Peter's so we can all SHARE in the planning. We want to see you there and we'd LOVE to hear about an event idea you have!

Click HERE to share your idea for our next event!

Quilters

A Thursday Group

Every Thursday

Come & Go from 9:00 AM - 3 PM

Cornerstone Room

Never quilted before? It's a skill that can be learned. These ladies are wonderful teachers and would love to have you join them, even if (maybe especially if) you have babies underfoot.

These quilts made are special ordered for a variety of gifts. Come help with a stitch or two or contact Linda Thiele if you'd like to talk to her about an order.

Knotters

A "Last Monday of the Month" Group

Come & Go from 9:00 AM - 2 PM

Cornerstone Room

Never knotted before? It's easier than tying your shoe.

These special quilts are made with love and quickly, because of how many are needed. They'll be taken on mission trips and given to families who have lost their homes. They'll be boxed up and shipped to Lutheran World Relief who will send them to all corners of the globe. They'll also be displayed annually each Fall during our Quilt Auction to raise funds for the Lutheran World Relief.
