SOUPer Bowl Thank You

The Social Ministry Team would like to “THANK” all those who chose to participate in this year’s Souper Bowl Food collection in support of the Associated Churches of Fort Wayne Food Bank. We are proud to announce that on Monday, February 9th, we were able to deliver a total of 246 pounds of food to the Food Bank. This was 86 pounds more than last year, praise God!

With our BIG Campbell’s Tomato Soup donation can, we were also able to collect a total of $287.00 dollars to be sent to the Food Bank to further their mission. This amount was also $30 more than we were able to do last year. Thank you and God’s blessings to all who helped make this year’s successful Food Drive possible, and again, praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Compassionate Care Collection: Turnstone

Watch the powerful video using the poem "It Couldn't Be Done" by Edgar Guest (1881-1959) to understand why you'll so often see Turnstone as one of the local Fort Wayne missions we support at St. Peter's. This month's Compassionate Care will collect items currently needed for some of the programs they are running. Collection baskets are in the North Corridor & Ministry Center.

  • New Dish Towels
  • Styrofoam cups
  • Cup cake pans
  • Food storage containers

At Turnstone, we create possibilities. Turnstone is Northeast Indiana's only free-standing not-for-profit organization providing a comprehensive continuum of supportive services addressing the unique needs of people with disabilities and their families.

The agency is governed by a passionate board of directors and is known for its exceptional staff of licensed professionals including physical, occupational, speech, and recreation therapists, fitness specialists, social workers, and educators.

Special Monthly Offering: Church Worker Scholarship

The harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few! The bible tells us those who choose to work in the church are important and sometimes rare. For those few, we want to be part of the resources available to them to carry on in the mission God has placed before them. Every little bit helps.
