Call Committee Update

Ben Clinkenbeard • December 23, 2024

The Board of Directors are excited to announce that the Senior Pastor Call Committee's first meeting is January 7th.

Members include: Allen Tietz, Bob Hart, Tony Amstutz, Chris Brune, Barb Christian, Rhonda Scott, Emily Weible, Vicki Fitzgerald, and Troy Buuck. Michelle Leahy will be the staff member to assist with scheduling, meeting rooms and District contacts. The BOD is requesting prayers for the SPCC. We are very proud of this well-rounded team. Please offer encouragement to them as you see them around church.

The Senior Pastor Call Committee will be assisting in the development and distribution of a Church Survey in mid-January. The foundation of this survey has been derived from the countless hours (and Saturdays!) given by Pastor Dancy and the Interim Task Force. Thank you for your efforts! The purpose of the survey is to allow ALL members of the congregation to offer input as to the direction of the church and the calling of the Senior Pastor.

The BOD expresses deep thanks and wishes continued success to Rhonda Scott!

One of the goals that the BOD continues to address is being One St. Peter's Ministry. We are focusing on encouraging communication among and between all of our ministry teams.

The BOD was interested to hear of the positive progress made so far by the St. Peter's staff and lay members in assisting with the Finance Director transition.

A Lifetime of Love
By Pastor Nate Widener July 28, 2025
St. Peter’s Family, My wife Amy and I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for the outpouring of love you have shown us over the last several weeks. This past weekend, my oldest daughter Gwyn was married to our wonderful son-in-law Benjamin Corley, and we couldn’t be happier. But, what made it all the sweeter was seeing so many of your caring and supportive faces in the congregation. Similarly, as you know, just a few short weeks ago I lost my father, Nick Widener, and I cannot express to you the depth of my thankfulness for all of the condolences that you have given me and my family. Your cards are all sitting on the windowsill of my office. Without question St. Peter’s is a loving and caring congregation, and this is part of what makes you so great. Thank you for taking care of us, so that we can also take care of you. May God Bless you, Pastor Nate

As we begin our new preschool year, we will need some supplies. It takes a lot of glue, markers and paint to keep preschoolers busy. Please consider taking a letter or two from our “Giving Tree”. Each letter is labeled with a needed supply item to be donated. Once you have shopped, you can return the item(s) to the tree. Thank you for your generosity as you bless our preschool. You are truly appreciated!
