Fall Planning

Greetings!

Dear friends, as we approach this fall, there are many things to be excited about here at St. Peter's Lutheran Church and School. Our children have returned to their studies, and preparation for the upcoming holidays will begin soon.

You may not know this, but your Ministry Staff utilizes every summer to plan for the next nine months. We put our heads together and think about our services, Bible studies, Hope Sessions, and how we’re going to communicate these things to you, our congregation.

Well, this year we’ve outdone ourselves and come up with some great possibilities that you’ll be seeing soon. In fact, you may have already noticed a Top 3 article last week giving you a clue about how we’re going to be adding to our communication strategy. We have put in many hours, and our constant motivation was trying to make things better, easier, and faster for you!

Finally, not only have we expanded our Sunday Bible study offerings, our Thursday noon Bible study will begin on September 12 and Hope Sessions start on September 17. We look forward to seeing you at these great opportunities for fellowship and learning about God’s Word.

As you can see, ministry is picking up steam, and things are beginning to speed up around here, but I assure you it was not a sleepy summer. Your Pastoral and Ministry Staff are dedicated to providing you with the best possible version of St. Peter’s, and we work tirelessly to make sure it happens. We had a lot of fun this summer planning for this next part of our church’s great history, and we very much hope you enjoy it!

Please stay tuned in to your St. Peter’s News and Notes email, our Facebook page and your Realm account in order to stay up to date on all the things going on here at your church.

Peace be with you!

A Lifetime of Love
By Pastor Nate Widener July 28, 2025
St. Peter’s Family, My wife Amy and I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for the outpouring of love you have shown us over the last several weeks. This past weekend, my oldest daughter Gwyn was married to our wonderful son-in-law Benjamin Corley, and we couldn’t be happier. But, what made it all the sweeter was seeing so many of your caring and supportive faces in the congregation. Similarly, as you know, just a few short weeks ago I lost my father, Nick Widener, and I cannot express to you the depth of my thankfulness for all of the condolences that you have given me and my family. Your cards are all sitting on the windowsill of my office. Without question St. Peter’s is a loving and caring congregation, and this is part of what makes you so great. Thank you for taking care of us, so that we can also take care of you. May God Bless you, Pastor Nate

As we begin our new preschool year, we will need some supplies. It takes a lot of glue, markers and paint to keep preschoolers busy. Please consider taking a letter or two from our “Giving Tree”. Each letter is labeled with a needed supply item to be donated. Once you have shopped, you can return the item(s) to the tree. Thank you for your generosity as you bless our preschool. You are truly appreciated!
