Looking ahead to our 175th

As we celebrate 250 years of our nation, we give thanks for all that God has provided and accomplished through the people of this country.

Looking a few years ahead, St. Peter’s has a celebration of her own coming in 2030. In that year, God will have blessed us with 175 years of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What a tremendous gift it is to belong to a congregation with such a long and faithful history of ministry.

As we approach this milestone, we want to give thanks to God for all He has enabled St. Peter’s to do throughout these years. We are beginning that process now. A planning team has formed and is preparing ways to fulfill our strategic plan’s goal of offering five events that bring the St. Peter’s family together while also sharing our joy with the wider community.

Our desire is to tell the story of St. Peter’s, give praise to God for His faithfulness, and look forward with confidence to the years He has yet to give us. Above all, we celebrate the privilege of continuing to proclaim Christ crucified for the forgiveness of sins.

May God continue to bless St. Peter’s, her people, and her ministries, that we may remain faithful servants to all entrusted to our care. Amen.
