Fall Fest is Back!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 10 after service! We are bringing back Fall Fest with an evening full of food, fellowship, fire, Jack-O’-Lanterns, and plenty of candy. After taking a year off, we are excited to renew this St. Peter’s tradition and gather our church and school families together again.

This year we will also celebrate something especially significant in the life of our congregation: St. Peter’s has paid off its mortgage! During Fall Fest, we will gather around the fire and burn the mortgage note as we give thanks to God for His provision and for the faithful generosity of His people. It will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together what God has allowed us to accomplish.

Of course, you cannot have Trunk or Treat without candy and we are going to need a lot of it!

Beginning Saturday, September 19, you can bring bags of candy to church or school. The best place to gather that candy is in the Church History Corner near the main entrance, you will find collection areas for each grade level.

And there is a little friendly competition involved!

If our Preschool reaches its candy-collection goal, we will dedicate a hymn during worship in their honor. For the dayschool, the grade level that collects the most candy by weight will win a pizza party and will also have a hymn dedicated during worship.

The candy competition ends Monday, October 5, so start stocking up!

We also need your help making Trunk or Treat possible. We are looking for a few dozen cars and families willing to decorate a trunk and pass out candy that evening. Sign up through this link - Fall Fest car sign-up  . Your trunk can be simple, silly, creative, or elaborate. The important thing is having plenty of people there to welcome our children and families.

We missed Fall Fest last year, which gives us even more reason to celebrate its return. Come worship, stay for dinner, gather around the fire, celebrate the retirement of our mortgage, and help us fill the evening with children, candy, laughter, and joy.

Come Saturday, October 10 and help us bring Fall Fest back!
