Give Thanks for Lutheran Education

This week, we join Lutheran schools across the country in celebrating National Lutheran Schools Week! This is a time to give thanks for the ministry of Lutheran education and the work God continues to do through our schools.

For generations, Lutheran schools and churches have partnered with families to form students in faith, knowledge, and character. Every day, classrooms become places where children hear God’s Word, experience grace and forgiveness, and learn what it means to live lives of service and love. Lutheran education is not simply about academic excellence (though that is certainly present!) but about shaping hearts and minds grounded in Christ.

We give thanks for the teachers, staff, pastors, and volunteers who faithfully serve in Lutheran schools nationwide. Their calling goes far beyond lesson plans and classrooms; it is ministry in its truest form. We also thank God for families who entrust their children to Lutheran schools and for congregations that continue to support this vital mission.

As we celebrate this week, we praise God for the lasting impact of Lutheran education and pray that He continues to bless Lutheran schools across the country. May He continue strengthening His schools as places where faith is nurtured, lives are shaped, and Christ is proclaimed!
