Organ Update Sept 2024

Tim Degen • September 13, 2024

The Console is nearly Complete!

The keyboards are finished! We received word from Buzard Organ Company this week that the keyboards for our new console, which have been on backorder from a third party supplier since last spring, are now finished and installed. This means that Buzard is now able to finish the rest of their work on the console, which they will complete this week. The console will arrive at St. Peter’s on Wednesday, September 25. Once on site, it will take 10-14 days to assemble the instrument in the balcony, connect all the wiring, test it to make sure everything is working properly, and tune the entire instrument. We anticipate using the new organ for the first time either the weekend of October 12-13, or on Reformation weekend, October 26-27. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding, as well as your financial contributions that made this project possible! Above is a picture of our new console (not finished yet) as it currently looks in Buzard’s factory.
