The Joy of Watching New things Take Shape

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

This summer, we have had the joy of watching the St. Peter’s Preschool playground take shape in a new way. A memorial gift from the Bradtmueller family, together with a Lutheran Foundation grant and funds from a previous preschool fundraiser, made it possible to double the size of our playground and add swings, spring riders, and more room for children to run and play.

For the Bradtmueller family, this project is connected to a long history with our preschool. Otto and Jan loved children and were known for the way they helped and encouraged them. They shared God’s love by the way they lived, and that love has continued through their family. Bradtmueller family members served on the board that helped launch St. Peter’s Preschool in 2001, and over the years they have continued to volunteer, serve, and support this ministry. Family members even rolled up their sleeves to help with the work involved in this latest expansion.

The new space will give our preschool children more room to move, explore, and grow. It will help them build strength, learn through play, and enjoy time outside with their classmates and teachers. It also reminds us what happens when one generation invests in the next and when a congregation, families, and community partners work together for our children's well-being.

We will celebrate the completed playground this Sunday, August 30, with a blessing immediately following the 10:30 am service. We hope you will come out, see the new space, and give thanks with us. Then stay for our 5th Sunday Fellowship Potluck as we continue the celebration together!

In Christ,

Pastor Danny
