You May Have $250 Just Sitting Around

Let Us Know!

What if one of your Thrivent benefits could help create more opportunities for people to belong, grow and serve at St. Peter’s?

Many St. Peter’s members may not realize that their Thrivent membership comes with an opportunity to make a difference through Thrivent Action Teams. Depending on your membership type, you may be eligible to lead one or even two Action Teams each calendar year, with up to $250 in seed money for each project.

That means your Thrivent membership could help turn an ordinary church event into an opportunity for connection, service and ministry.

And right now, St. Peter’s has no shortage of opportunities!

As we continue growing and living out our strategic plan, we want to be good stewards of the resources God provides. We are looking for ways to create meaningful opportunities for people to connect with one another, strengthen our unified ministry, invest in lifelong discipleship and prepare for the future God has in store for St. Peter’s.

Your Thrivent Action Team could be part of that.

Throughout the 2026–27 ministry year, there will be opportunities to partner with St. Peter’s through events and ministries such as the Christian Community Healthcare Clinic, 5th Sunday Fellowships, the Fish Fry, Fall Fest, Hope Sessions, and other initiatives that will grow from our strategic plan.

Here's where you come in...

If you're a Thrivent member, consider leading a Thrivent Action Team connected to a St. Peter’s ministry opportunity. Thrivent provides the Action Team resources and up to $250 in seed money, while you bring together a team of people and actively participate in making the project happen.

Maybe your Action Team helps provide supplies for the Fish Fry. Maybe it supports a service project connected to the CCHC. Maybe it helps make a discipleship opportunity possible at Fall Fest. There are lots of possibilities and we would love to work with you to find a project that fits both your interests and a need at St. Peter’s.

Think of it as taking something you already have and putting it to work for the ministry you love.

If you are a Thrivent member and would be willing to partner with St. Peter’s on a Thrivent Action Team this year, let us know! You don't have to know exactly what your project will be. Simply tell us you're interested, and we'll reach out when an upcoming opportunity is a good fit.

Together, we can make the most of the resources God places in our hands, and use them to create more opportunities for people to belong, grow, serve and live out our life together in Christ.
