Coloring for Christ

Kid's Zone Wall Update

Some of our youngest members may have noticed a recent change to the Quiet Bags that they enjoy during the service, there’s no coloring pages! We know that for some kids that’s a real bummer (because coloring is so much fun) but, we have a good reason.

St. Peter's is bringing back our “Coloring For Christ” program that invites kids to color pictures that are relevant to each week’s bible lesson, and turn them in to share with the congregation on our board in the ministry center, or maybe even (hint - hint) on our pre-service slide loop!

You will now find the coloring pages, colored pencils and clipboards separate from the bags, but still by the Kid’s Zone Wall. Near them you will also find a basket where we will collect the finished artwork.

What’s new to the “Coloring for Christ” program is that coloring these pictures now gives our youngest members the opportunity to serve some of our oldest. After they have been displayed, the colored pictures that we receive each week will be collected and taken by our Pastors on their visits to our homebound members to help brighten up their day, and share some love from the congregation as well.

This makes “Coloring for Christ” an opportunity for the children of St. Peter's to CONNECT with the weekly bible lesson, GROW in their knowledge of the Word through a fun activity, and SHARE the love of our Savior with those who are not able to join us in worship.

We hope that this new project will bring joy to all the kids who participate, and to those who receive their drawings. God’s Blessings, and happy coloring!
