Happenings in January
It's the New Year and We Have Lots Planned
Listening Forums (you definitely want to make one of these in-person events). If you have not yet taken the Life Survey you can do that by clicking HERE. We would love for all members to both take the survey and attend a listening forum, but please take the survey if you aren't able to do both. Listening Forums will be in the Cornerstone Room:
- Sat. Jan 10th or 17th from 3–4:30 pm
- Sun. Jan 11th or 18th from 12–1:30 pm
- Mon. Jan 19th from 5:30–7 pm
Baptism Celebration Day Sunday, January 11th, The Baptism of our Lord Sunday, we will recognize those baptized during the last church year. Galatians 3:26-27 “You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” Join us for worship
and the Baptismal celebration at all services.
Winter HOPE Sessions Tuesdays starting January 13th and going for 5 weeks of Family Dinners together, Family Devotion, then split up for classes. We have a great line up with some very interesting class topics! Check the HOPE page on our website or find these printed out for you in the Ministry Center.
Euchre Tournament hosted by our PTL January 16th @ 6:30 pm in the school cafeteria. There is a $5 recommended donation at the door to cover the cost of food. There will be snacks, drinks, and fabulous prizes! Text Lindsey at 765-337-2458 to reserve your spot. Spots are limited.
Pastor Sharp visits on January 18th and we look forward to his updates about their new mission in Puerto Rico. Visit with him that Sunday as he leads the Bible study class. Our special monthly offering will go to supporting the Sharp family in their mission.
Sisters in Christ (a double helping) will meet at the regular “last Wednesday of each month” at 5 pm when Kekionga Craft Co. opens which falls on January 28th. Come enjoy a little fellowship, prayer idea, and grab something to eat if you’d like. We’ll ALSO meet Saturday January 31st at noon in the Cornerstone Room for another craft day! Member, Megan Hoff, will lead us in making cards for Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s, & Easter. Bonus Ministry Overlap: If you are someone who “adopts a shut-in” for our Connecting Hearts ministry in February, this is a great head start on making something special to mail for the next 3 months. This is a free event. Register on our website at www.stpetersfw.org/events on your home computer or by using the kiosks in the Ministry Center or call the Church Office.
National Lutheran Schools Week kicks off on Sunday, January 25th. While most events this week involve fun activities for our students, we ask you to join us that Sunday when our students, school faculty, Junior Choir, and Wildcat bells will all join voices in song during worship. We also ask for your prayers to continually surround students and staff at both our preschool and day school.
