Strategic Plan Update
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we look ahead to January, I want to give you an update on our strategic planning process and where we are right now. The goal is straightforward: to provide clear, faithful direction for St. Peter’s in the years ahead so that we move forward together with unity and purpose.
In December, much of the work is the kind you don’t see, but it matters. Our Steering Team (your pastors, our principal, our preschool director, our executive director, and our music director) has been meeting to develop this process and to prepare for the next steps after the new year. Alongside this, the Board of Directors and the Elders have completed a Leadership Perception Survey. That survey is a tool to help us shape the Life Survey that will be available in January.
In January, you will have opportunities to offer input through listening forums and through the Life Survey, which will be available from January 4 through January 31. We will share the details through the Hub and our regular communication channels as we get closer.
Between now and then, there are two simple things I’d ask of you. First, please pray. Pray that the Lord would guard our unity, give wisdom to those leading and participating, and keep us anchored in Christ. Second, be ready to engage in January. When the survey opens, take the time to complete it. When the listening opportunities are offered, come and be part of the conversation. This is one of the ways we love one another: by listening well, speaking honestly, and moving forward together.
Throughout this process, I keep coming back to Colossians 3, where the Lord calls His people to put on love “which binds everything together in perfect harmony” and to let “the peace of Christ rule in your hearts… in one body.” That is the kind of life I pray God gives to us, and the spirit God uses to shape this entire process. Young and old, long-time members and newer faces, walking as One Family in Christ.
More information will be coming soon. For now, thank you for your patience, prayers, and faithfulness. God has blessings to give, work to do, and neighbors to love, and we want to do it together!
In Christ,
Pastor Danny
