NEW Family Room

Family Life Team • December 23, 2024

You may have noticed the sign on the door of the old Elder/Usher office as you enter Door #8 for worship. For over a month it has said, “Under Construction - Wonderful Things Coming.” And wonderful it is! As we look to the Holy Family this week as an example for our own, we’re so pleased to share that a new space has been given a refresh for parents of young children to use as a quiet room for their little ones during worship. The Ministry Conference Room down the hall from the family restroom is still available for those who prefer that space, but this additional room is a little easier to access for those who exit at the back of the sanctuary. There will be additional improvements to this room as we make this adjustment, including a t.v. connection to the worship service and other amenities, however, we wanted to make this space open to use as soon as possible as we look to support our families at St. Peter’s.

We want to thank the Elder's for their support of this plan, to the members who used Thrivent grants for this project, to Paul Peterson and Rogan Thiele in their care for our property (plumbing, painting, carpeting, floor waxing, furniture moving), to those on the Family Life team who thought through all of the details and were the hands and feet of making this project a reality.

Once the school Christmas break is over, if you have a little open time Wednesday mornings join a group of moms for a "Coffee Break" in the Cornerstone Room after morning school drop-off around 8:20 am. It's casual conversation and connection over coffee as you recharge and grow with other parents.

A Lifetime of Love
By Pastor Nate Widener July 28, 2025
St. Peter’s Family, My wife Amy and I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for the outpouring of love you have shown us over the last several weeks. This past weekend, my oldest daughter Gwyn was married to our wonderful son-in-law Benjamin Corley, and we couldn’t be happier. But, what made it all the sweeter was seeing so many of your caring and supportive faces in the congregation. Similarly, as you know, just a few short weeks ago I lost my father, Nick Widener, and I cannot express to you the depth of my thankfulness for all of the condolences that you have given me and my family. Your cards are all sitting on the windowsill of my office. Without question St. Peter’s is a loving and caring congregation, and this is part of what makes you so great. Thank you for taking care of us, so that we can also take care of you. May God Bless you, Pastor Nate

As we begin our new preschool year, we will need some supplies. It takes a lot of glue, markers and paint to keep preschoolers busy. Please consider taking a letter or two from our “Giving Tree”. Each letter is labeled with a needed supply item to be donated. Once you have shopped, you can return the item(s) to the tree. Thank you for your generosity as you bless our preschool. You are truly appreciated!
