New Fieldworkers
Welcome Devin Rathman & Brian Joachim!
We would love to welcome two new first year students at CTSFW and invite them into our fellowship here at St. Peter's as our fieldworkers. Devin Rathman (pictured left) and Brian Joachim (pictured 3rd) were installed this past weekend at the 10:30 am Sunday service and you'll see them in various areas of our ministry over the next two years. Introduce yourselves and help them feel at home here. You'll continue to see Christian Salemink (pictured right with wife Maggie) as he continues in his second year at the seminary. We will have one more year with him before he and his family are sent off to their vicarage church. Blessings to them all as they prepare to be workers in Christ's fields. Thanks be to God!

My name is Devin Rathman, I grew up in Grand Island, Nebraska where I was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church. My wife Stephanie, from Gibbon, Minnesota, and I got married on June 27, 2026 after meeting in College at Concordia University, Nebraska. Before moving to Fort Wayne I was called as a Social Studies teacher at Concordia Preparatory School in Towson, Maryland, and my wife was called as a second and third grade teacher in West Point, Nebraska. She is currently called as one of the second grade teachers at Concordia Lutheran School on Lake Avenue. We are excited to get to know you all as we worship with, and eventually help lead you all in services.
My name is Brian Joachim. I was born and grew up in rural South Dakota. I have three siblings, of which I am the second oldest. I was baptized, confirmed, and attended the same LCMS church (Immanuel, Dimock, SD) from when I was born until I went to college.
I went to undergrad for mechanical engineering in Rapid City, SD. After graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering, I moved to Green River, Wyoming. In Wyoming, I attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church and I worked for several years as an engineer doing industrial maintenance and project management at trona (baking soda) mines. It was during that time when I considered and decided to attend seminary.
In my free time, I enjoy getting outdoors and being active, whether I am hiking, deer and elk hunting, canoeing, or ice fishing. On rainy days, I enjoy reading or playing cribbage.
