What is All Saint's Day?
Please join us this upcoming weekend for All Saint's Day

Dear Friends,
All Saint’s Day is a special time in our Lectionary year. On this day we have the opportunity to remember our fellow brothers and sisters who have proceeded us in glory and we are thankful to do so.
Our Lord’s promises are mighty and strong and what we are going to honor this coming Sunday is a promise that surpasses all human logic. God has stated that because of His Son’s death on the Cross, He is willing to forgive the sins of many and, as a result, allow them entry into His presence. Because this is true we can know without question that our loved ones now worship at the foot of the throne of the very God, Himself.
This is both an incredible truth and an overwhelming cause for joy and thankfulness. As it is true for them, it is true for us also. As it says in 1 John 3, “Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared, but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.”
Until then, we live in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection, trusting in the victory our Lord Jesus has already won for us. One day we will see Christ face to face as we walk arm in arm through the fields of God with those we have lost.
Join us this weekend as we look forward to the promises secured for us on the Cross by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Together, let us give thanks to God for the assurance that what He has promised to our loved ones in Christ, He has promised to us as well.
In Christ,
Pastor Nate Widener
