Pastor's Corner
Behind the Worship Scene
I had a question asked of me by a confirmation student: "What is my favorite part of the service other than the sermon?" I told them my favorite part is the readings, because I get to hear God's Word read to me.
Everyone has a favorite part of worship and almost every single one of those relies on our Audio and Visual Team. There are about 30 amazing people who make sure that we can see and hear what is going on in our services. This includes preparing slides, creating the informational slide loop, running the audio system, changing slides, caring for equipment, live streaming, online greeters, and so much more. These people do so much to make sure you have a wonderful time worshiping and are able to focus on what God is doing here in our church.
We thank all of our volunteers who do so much to help with worship especially our A/V Team. Please, if you see one of our team members turning things on, getting things prepared, up in the balcony, or even on the live stream taking prayer requests - tell them, "Thank you." If you find yourself loving what goes on in worship and want to lend a hand just let the pastors know and we can point you in the right direction.
If I had to give a second favorite part of worship to that confirmation student, I might have said how everyone uses their skills and talents to make this place a place to receive God's blessings.
Thank you to all who volunteer to make worship happen.
