Advent Opportunities to Give, Serve & Celebrate

As we transition from Thanksgiving into the expectant joy of Advent, our church offers several inviting ways to prepare our hearts and bless others. Whether you choose to give a gift, lend a hand, or join in fellowship, we hope every member will take part in at least one of these meaningful activities—especially if it’s your first time.

Angel Tree Ministry — Sharing Christ’s Love

This year, we are honored to serve:

  • 109 children and 44 families through the Prison Fellowship Angel Tree
  • 15 children through Fort Wayne Victim Assistance

The Angel Tree will be ready the weekend of November 29–30. Simply select an angel tag, purchase the requested item (suggested gift amount: $25), and return the wrapped gift by Sunday, December 14 under the Angel Tree in the Ministry Center. Be sure to attach the peel-and-stick angel tag to the wrapped gift.

Deliveries begin Sunday, December 14. Each child will also receive an age-appropriate gospel booklet, reminding them of the true gift of Christmas.

Decorate the Sanctuary for Advent & Christmas

Sunday, November 30 after the 10:30 service

Our dedicated sanctuary decorating team would love extra hands as they prepare the worship space for Advent and Christmas. Simply stay after the 10:30 service on Nov 30 to help place decorations, set up the trees, and enjoy snacks and fellowship.

If you have questions, please speak with Ben Clinkenbeard.

No experience needed—just a willing spirit!

Advent Family Fun Night (& Gift Wrapping)

Saturday, December 6 • 6–8 pm
Cornerstone Room, Large Conference Room & Gym

Looking for a joyful way to begin Advent? Join us for a cozy evening of fellowship hosted by the Family Life Team.

Highlights include:

  • A kids’ movie corner
  • Hot cocoa, popcorn, and cookies
  • Children encouraged to wear Christmas pajamas
  • A rumor of an indoor “snowball fight”
  • A quiet room (Large Conference) for grown-ups to wrap gifts (bring them in secretly through Door 5)

If you’re an Angel Tree giver, beat the Dec 14th deadline and bring your unwrapped gift to church that evening—you can wrap it on-site and place it under the tree before heading home!

We hope you will choose at least one Advent opportunity to participate in this year. Together, we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ and share His love with those around us.
