Start School with Prayer

Our St. Peter's day school starts Tuesday the 13th, and families are preparing by getting school supplies into cubbies, stuffing backpacks, and packing lunches.  There is something else you can send them off to school with: a prayer.  Say this prayer with your student of any age.

Lord Jesus, help us start each day,

With open hearts to learn and play.

Forgive our wrongs and guide us right,

Fill our minds with truth and light.

Amen.

Praying together is a helpful way to trust in God and to hope in Him as a family.  Remember to bring your backpacks, pick up a backpack tag, and receive a blessing and a prayer for all students this weekend at all services. May God bless all students, teachers, and staff this year with His protection, wisdom and forgiving love.
