Mike's Mission Trip
One Home. Two Friends. A Legacy of Faith in Action.

Mike Bultemeier, Bill Miller, and Clarence Scheumann left this past weekend for the two-week tour to Weston, WV. This will be Mike's 52nd Mission Trip, and his 43rd working with Fuller Center Disaster ReBuilders.
For nearly 20 years, Mike has served with FCDR, and for much of that time his friend, Scott Dewalt (pictured), served alongside him. Together they put their faith into action to help countless families rebuild after disasters.
Mike and Scott lived in different parts of the country, but they coordinated their schedules to serve side by side multiple times. Mike shared his knowledge, his many tools, and his heart for helping others. This July, we lost Scott, a dear friend and faithful volunteer.
This current mission trip, FCDR is planning a special build honoring Mike's decades of service and remembering Scott, his friend and fellow Warrior of the Faith.
Their goal is to raise $130,000 to build a new, safe home in Mike and Scott’s honor and they are more than half way there. Every gift and every helping hand can help turn years of friendship and service into a home where a family can begin again.
Thank you to Mike, Bill, Clarence and everyone who has traveled with Mike over the years to help people through FCDR. Thank you to FCDR for taking such good care of Mike and for making the special build in honor of the many hours he's put into using his God given vocation to serve others.
The build depends totally on donations and grants. The family hasn’t received any funding from insurance or FEMA, so donations are critical for the build to be successful. Continue to pray for the team as they move forward with this build.
