Watch the video to hear the exciting update on our Thanksgiving Collection for our members as well as sharing a little about an outreach opportunity called Program 25.
Dearest Brothers and Sisters,
I want to take a moment to say, “Thank you!”
This Thanksgiving, you really stepped up and gave a lot to people who needed a little extra support here within our congregation. As a matter of fact, we received over $4,000 in gift cards and food donated, and that’s an incredible testament of how much you care about people in need. Each family was so incredibly grateful. The Lord worked through you to care for His people. And so, if that felt good, I’d also like to tell you about another program we do for those outside of our congregation called Program 25.
Program 25 is an opportunity to gather funds for those in need in our Fort Wayne community, outside of our congregation who come to us for various reasons. For the last 25 years, Program 25 has supported the distribution of Community Food Harvest vouchers each month. We are so appreciative of Jim Shadle for his work as our volunteer coordinator for this project. We currently support between 20-25 families each month and would love to see that number increase. If you’d like to give to this outreach opportunity, make a note of Program 25 on your offering envelope or online gift. A mere $9.50 covers 50 lbs. of food that a household can shop for at the Community Harvest grocery store.
St. Peter’s is a church family who cares, and it’s the way we care that shows Christ’s love and mercy. Thank you for being His hands and feet once again. Peace be with you.
