November Opportunities for Fellowship, Learning, Serving & Giving

5th Sunday Fellowship

Sunday, Nov. 29th for Soup, Sweets & Questionable Christmas Sweaters!

Join us the first day of Advent! Even though Advent is a season of waiting, we thought a little practice for the big Christmas celebration could be beneficial. Come to the Cornerstone Room after the 10:30 service for soup, bread, Christmas cookies, and festive fellowship! We'll start with Christmas trivia, followed by a good old-fashioned Christmas carol and hymn sing-along. (Singing ability is optional.) We will close out by announcing the winner of the Ugliest Christmas Sweater Contest.

Coming soon: Sign-up sheets for soup and Christmas cookies. Come hungry, bring a friend, and enjoy a few hours of Christmas cheer.

Advent Light Event

Sunday, Nov. 29th during the Bible Study hour 9:15-10:15 am

Something special is being planned for our younger members. Stay tuned for details.

Altar Guild - Produce Collection

Sun. Nov 22nd - Tues. Nov 24th

Our Altar Guild will be preparing our sancutary on Wednesday morning for the Thanksgiving worship services. Please bring pumpkins and other hardy produce (squashes, gourds, potatoes, radishes, carrots, etc) that could be displayed on the Thanksgiving table and then what's appropriate is given to the Thanksgiving Food Collection boxes. You can bring produce to the Sacristy (room to the left of the altar) or to the church office during these days. Please don't bring produce too early as we don't want it to spoil.

Bible Studies (click for details)

Sunday's Adult Bible Class continues through the History of the Church with former CTSFW President, Rev. Dr. Larry Rast for the next 4 weeks. Thank you to all of our guest leaders who have shared their knowledge with us along this historical journey. Tuesday Ladies, Thursday Men's, & Thursday Lunch Break Bible studies are back to their regular schedule with new topics.

Serving in the Church

Some current needs are: Livestream or AV Teams for worship and our Sanctuary Care Crew.

Offering your talents or acts of service is often something we all want to do, but not always sure where to start. Opportunities present themselves, but it's hard to remember them all or keep track of something that called to you at one point. The Serve tab in the Realm Connect app continues to add areas that are open and looking for someone just like you. Log in on your computer or through the app on your phone and scroll through the Roles to see if one is a good fit for you. Remember, signing up doesn't commit you to it, but does share that you'd like to be contacted about it.

Sisters in Christ: Possible Servant Event

Monday, November 16th @ 5 pm

Location & Details TBD

We also gather the last Wednesday Tuesday each month (tomorrow Oct 27th & Nov 24th) at 5:00 pm Kekionga Craft Co, 7328 Maysville Rd. Come & go. Enjoy a little fellowship, prayer idea, and grab something to eat if you’d like.
