On-Call Pastor

February 9, 2026

Church Office Closed Monday, February 16th for President's Day.

The Church Offices will be closed Monday, February 16th for President’s Day. News & Notes will be published the following Tuesday and updates to the website will be Tuesday as well. If you have a pastoral emergency, call the on-call pastor phone line at 260-888-6888 and one of our pastors will answer. If they are not available at the time you call, it’s very important that you leave a voicemail with your name and phone number so they can call you back as soon as possible. You may also send text messages to this number, but please include your first and last name so they know who they are speaking with. Program this number in your phone so when you need one of our pastors, you have it. Other resources available to you are the Prayer Hotline or the Prayer Google Form.  Both are on the Hub for you to submit prayer requests anytime.

When should I contact one of our pastors?

Many people aren't sure exactly when to contact their pastor. In an  increasingly complex world, when we are pressured from every side in daily living, here are some suggested times when it would be appropriate to call upon your pastors' services, friendship, and support:

  • When you or a member of the family enters the hospital. Upon admission, be sure to register as a Lutheran from St. Peter's.
  • When you are facing a serious family problem.
  • When you are facing a spiritual struggle.
  • When there is a death.
  • When you or your family must make an important decision that may have spiritual consequences.
  • When you are unhappy about the church.
  • When you are celebrating.
  • When you need someone to talk with in confidence.
  • Confession and Absolution.
  • When you have theological questions.
  • When you'd like to lead in the church: bible study, ministry activity, event
  • When you know people interested in membership or learning more about our faith.
