Pastor's Corner: Gathering to Make Connections

Gathering to Make Connections

Fellowship fills our life with fun, conversation, and laughter. On top of that God uses it to strengthen His people. In Acts 2, the early church devoted themselves not only to the Word, but also to fellowship. Why? Because we are not meant to walk the life of faith alone.

When we gather around tables, in conversation, in shared laughter we encourage one another, carry burdens together, and build relationships that support lasting spiritual growth. A healthy congregation is not only one that worships together, but one that lives life together.

There is much to celebrate at St. Peter’s. Our Easter Breakfast continues to bring us together in joyful celebration. The Fall Fish Fry has given us another time to share. Our Women’s groups, Senior Saints, Youth, and Young Adult gatherings are creating meaningful connections across generations.

And this year, we are especially excited for our Men’s Ministry Gathering on Sunday, April 19th, a simple evening of devotion, food, and activities designed to reconnect and build new relationships.

Behind the scenes, our Fellowship Team is actively working to create more opportunities to make connections as we gather. For example, we are planning a Cruise In car show this summer. Their goal is simple: to help our congregation grow stronger together.

So, here’s the encouragement, don’t just attend church. Look for ways to make connections. Fellowship is something to look forward to. Show up, bring a friend, share a meal, and be part of what God is building among us.

Because when we gather, God works through each other.
