Strategic Update: Survey Complete

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Life Survey and Listening Forums

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,


Thank you for the many ways you have participated in and supported our strategic planning process over these past weeks. Your prayers, presence at Listening Forums, and thoughtful input have been a true blessing.


We’re also grateful to share that the Congregational Life Survey is now complete. Thank you to all who took the time to respond. The results will be shared with the congregation once the data has been carefully reviewed and compiled.


In our Listening Forums, we heard deep gratitude for St. Peter’s Christ-centered and confessionally Lutheran identity. Many expressed appreciation for faithful preaching and teaching, a clear commitment to God’s Word, and a strong desire to remain firmly grounded in the faith. Again and again, people spoke of the genuine sense of family and belonging here, along with thankfulness for dedicated volunteers, capable staff, and the many blessings God has provided through our facilities and resources. Our day school and preschool were consistently named as tremendous strengths and meaningful mission opportunities to connect families to Christ and to the life of the church.


We also listened closely to areas of opportunity. There is a desire for deeper unity and connection across all areas of ministry—church, school, and preschool—along with clearer communication and a more welcoming path for newcomers. Many expressed hope for strengthening next-generation discipleship, including Sunday school, youth ministry, and continued connection with young adults. We also heard the importance of supporting and sustaining our volunteers well.


As we move forward into the next phase, we do so together—rooted in Christ, guided by His Word, and trusting that He will lead us with wisdom and peace.
