Thanksgiving Food Drive

Observant members may have noticed the truck loads of tomatoes heading for the cannery, the farmers gathering their corn or soy beans, and the overnight forecast for temperatures ebbing downward to near freezing. These are all signs that Thanksgiving is drawing near and our Social Ministry Team is preparing to once again set-up for our annual “Thanksgiving Day Food Drive” which will be on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

We ask that members wishing to participate bring their non-perishable food donations to church and deposit them on the tables that will be set up in the west hallway. As always, please check your donations expiration dates and bring only those with dates that are not expired, thank you.

The Social Ministry Team and volunteers will gather Friday morning in the west hallway at 9:00 am to sort, divide and deliver the food collected. Last year we provided ample food supplies to 12 families plus 1 walk-in and we still had 2 truck loads of donations to deliver to the Seminary Food Bank to restock their shelves for distribution to Seminary students. God richly blessed our efforts, Praise God!

If you or someone you know could use this kind of help, please contact one of our Pastors, providing a name, phone number, and address today. This information will be used, as needed, in a confidential manor. With God’s guidance and direction, we will again be able to help families, member, and non-member alike, to have a Happy Thanksgiving. God’s blessings to all involved, thank you.
