Blue Christmas

Held on the longest night of the year, Pastor Nate Widener shares how this restorative service offers comfort for those grieving or carrying burdens that make the holidays difficult. Christ meets us in our sorrow, bringing His light into every shadow.
Holidays are tough times, aren’t they? Sometimes we’ve lost people, lost jobs, and life has changed in various ways. This time of year is supposed to be super happy and fun, but we don’t always feel that way. So we want to honor that and create a space to talk about that here at church. On Sunday, December 21st @ 5 pm we’ll have our Blue Christmas worship service. I invite you to come on down, or invite you to be a partner with someone you know who needs this and invite them to sit with you. If you’ve had a tough time this year in any way, come and express it. Church is the best place to do that at.
So come and join us, be sad a little bit, cry a little bit, support a neighbor who may share a common sadness with you and then when Christmas comes maybe some of that weight will be lifted off your shoulders and placed on the cross. I pray as you consider this opportunity, God guide you and keep you this Advent and Christmas season. Peace be with you.
