Celebrating our Graduates

Rooted in God's Love

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” – 3 John 1:4

As another school year comes to a close, we pause to celebrate a special group of young people—the graduating Class of 2025 from St. Peter’s Lutheran School. These students have spent their formative years growing in wisdom, building friendships, discovering their gifts, and most importantly, learning

what it means to walk in faith.

They’ve mastered math problems and book reports, tackled science labs and memory work, performed in musicals and participated in athletics—but among all they’ve achieved, the most important lesson we pray they carry forward is this: They are deeply loved by their Heavenly Father.

That truth has been woven into the fabric of their education every day—from whole school devotions and chapel services to classroom conversations and playground interactions. It is the foundation upon which all other learning is built.

Our prayer is that this foundation will remain strong as they move into high school and beyond. That in moments of uncertainty, they’ll remember who and whose they are. That in times of joy, they’ll give thanks to the One who blesses every good gift. And that in all things, they’ll continue to walk with Christ.

We thank our church family for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support of our students and our school. Your investment in Christian education truly changes lives for eternity.

Please join us in celebrating these young men and women and sending them off with our love and prayers. May they go confidently, knowing they are never alone—for their Heavenly Father goes with them, always. Together in Christ.

A Lifetime of Love
By Pastor Nate Widener July 28, 2025
St. Peter’s Family, My wife Amy and I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for the outpouring of love you have shown us over the last several weeks. This past weekend, my oldest daughter Gwyn was married to our wonderful son-in-law Benjamin Corley, and we couldn’t be happier. But, what made it all the sweeter was seeing so many of your caring and supportive faces in the congregation. Similarly, as you know, just a few short weeks ago I lost my father, Nick Widener, and I cannot express to you the depth of my thankfulness for all of the condolences that you have given me and my family. Your cards are all sitting on the windowsill of my office. Without question St. Peter’s is a loving and caring congregation, and this is part of what makes you so great. Thank you for taking care of us, so that we can also take care of you. May God Bless you, Pastor Nate

As we begin our new preschool year, we will need some supplies. It takes a lot of glue, markers and paint to keep preschoolers busy. Please consider taking a letter or two from our “Giving Tree”. Each letter is labeled with a needed supply item to be donated. Once you have shopped, you can return the item(s) to the tree. Thank you for your generosity as you bless our preschool. You are truly appreciated!
