No Devotion, but consider this...

Sermon by Rev. Dr. Alfonso Espinosa • February 10, 2025

We are very thankful for Dr. Espinosa as he was our speaker for iLEAD last Saturday and was also our guest preacher at each service this weekend.

If you missed it, be sure to catch his sermon on our YouTube page. His series of books, “Faith That Sees through the Culture,” “Faith That Engages the Culture,” and his latest book, “Faith That Shines in the Culture,” are for purchase through CPH.org.

In lieu of a devotion, consider some of these questions as you listen to his sermon:

  • How does the concept of living in the present moment challenge our tendency to dwell on the past or worry about the future in our spiritual lives?
  • In what ways might the five C's of repentance (conviction, contrition, confession, consolation, and consecration) help us navigate our daily walk with God?
  • As Lutherans, we begin each worship service with Confession and Absolution. How might regular confession and repentance transform our relationships with God and others?
  • In what ways does the gospel message of complete forgiveness challenge our understanding of guilt and shame?
  • In what ways can we encourage and support one another in living out Psalm 118:24, rejoicing in each day the Lord has made?
